Product Description
The 'Q' flag, or Quebec flag, is used to represent the alphabetic character 'Q' for use in a message between boats. It also means "Boat recall; all boats return to ship" or "Ship meets health regs; request clearance into port." This flag is also known as the free pratique flag, which may be flown once the local authorities have determined that a ship’s health problems have been resolved and have removed a quarantine order.
From the International Code of Signals, this long-lasting nautical flag is made from nylon fabric with double-stitched seams, canvas heading and brass grommets. This flag is sewn to order.
