On Saturday, May 11th, the tallest flagpole in the Mid-South (Mississippi, Tennessee and Arkansas) was dedicated under a beautiful blue sky. It is located next to the Landers Center behind the DeSoto County Tourism Association office in Southaven, MS.

Attended by over 100 people, this distinctive dedication took place during a special ceremony celebrating civic pride and patriotism.

This giant 164 foot flagpole proudly supports a 30 foot by 60 foot United States flag. Planning, installation and maintenance is provided by FlagCenter.com, LLC.


DeSoto County has now deemed May 11th as Patriotism Day.
