Tuesday, April 8, 2014, The Atlanta Braves held their home game opener and played Tribute to Hank Aaron. Amid the festivities a display of fireworks began behind the stadium. However, things did not quite go as planned as someone didn't think about the proximity of the fireworks explosions to the the flag. Shortly after the display of fireworks began, the American flag could be seen on fire. Many fans were able to capture the burning flag in photos from cameras and mobile devices.
